Since 1984, Global-Tardif has earned a top reputation as a manufacturer of field-proven, innovative products for the elevator industry. The company has grown to become one of the largest independent manufacturers of elevators in North America.
GT VisionLift TM MRL packages are engineered to satisfy the exacting standards of the largest elevator company in the world. Manufacturing elevator system packages for multinational OEM customers is where GT built a reputation for top quality equipment and technical expertise.

High Speed Elevators
GT has engineered and manufactured over 300 high speed (1000 fpm to 1400 fpm) elevators which are in service worldwide.
Explosion Proof Elevators
GT has fabricated over 18 specialized explosion proof elevator systems, for both hydraulic and traction applications.
Airport and Transit System Custom Panoramic Elevators
GT has built and supplied over 250 elevator systems with panoramic custom cabs for the most challenging duty: transit service. Applications located throughout the US and Canada include projects in New York, New Jersey, St. Louis, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal.
Structural Fabrication
GT engineers and fabricates all structural car slings and platform equipment for every elevator produced – occasionally to 1200 fpm.
Completely Round Elevators
A list of GT accomplishments would not be complete without making reference to a most unique and challenging application completed successfully: a completely round glass three-stop elevator. This project included a full glass cab enclosure with mating curved glass doors.
Capabilities

Global-Tardif employs over 250 people who work in three different manufacturing facilities comprised of over 267,000 square feet. Technical expertise includes 14 engineers, 21 CAD draftsmen, and many other professionals with university degrees in their respective specialties.
Relationships with key vendors, developed over many years, provide Global-Tardif the capability of handling most any demand and corporate rate of growth. Our network of vendor partners includes specialties from sheet metal manufacturing using the latest laser and CNC cutting and forming technology to custom and exotic wood and glass fabricators and suppliers.
The range of products designed, engineered and manufactured by Global-Tardif includes complete hydraulic, traction and MRL elevator packages; a complete line of doors and entrances ; standard, panoramic and other custom cabs; car slings and platforms; hydraulic pump and jack units; dumbwaiters; and a full range of residential and accessibility equipment.

Reduced & special pricing
MRL Network Members will automatically receive a 3% discount on non-member standard pricing.
MRL Rebates
Based on the first year (or partial year) of Membership, ending September 31st, each Member will receive a Volume discount on MRL equipment purchased in the following year (beginning October 1 st) based on previous year’s purchase totals. All invoices must be paid as agreed per credit terms to earn Volume discount.

The Volume discount will be established based on all purchases including hydraulic and geared or gearless traction elevators and other items including cabs, entrances and door panels.
Extended credit terms
All Members will receive extended credit term of NET 60 days… compared to non-member terms of NET 30 days and a deposit schedule of 25% to place an order and 25% with return of approval drawings. Terms and conditions may be modified from time to time with prior notice from Global Tardif Accounting Department.

Expedited quote processing
All Members requests for quote (RFQ’s) will receive priority processing. MRL RFQ requests will receive response within 48 hours for standard MRL products. Non-standard or custom products add additional time, up to 3 to 4 days depending on complexity.
Extended product warranty
Members will receive 36 months of product warranty coverage… compared to non-members who receive a standard 12 month warranty. See GT Standard Warranty program description for details.

Technical Support
Special Members Only support hotline
A bilingual technical support hotline has been established to serve MRL Network Members. Support Technicians help Members quickly review, investigate and resolves problems, minimizing lost field labor time and providing the shortest possible path to resume installation or return a car to service.
MRL Network vendor partners actively participate in this exclusive Members Only Technical Support program. Resolution of component-specific problems is facilitated through the same dedicated support hotline number.
Finally, challenging problems can be quickly escalated to product design engineers for prompt resolution as necessary.
Extended tech support hours
Members are afforded special services including extended technical support line hours which provides direct access to top engineers as required. Coverage beyond extended hours can be arranged, with prior notice, for Members to accommodate special installation, turnover or troubleshooting requirements when needed.
Knowledge base
The spirit of cooperation within the Network structure means that all Members have access to a knowledge base built with Member input and participation. Members are encouraged to help build community resources to which all contribute and from which all may draw assistance.
All Members agree to participate in expanding this shared web-based knowledge base, which will be maintained and made available by GT.
Other online resources will include Installation Tips and a Troubleshooting Guide which will be updated daily. Available to Members, these resources will be developed and expanded based on Member experience and input.
It is understood that Member cooperation will include facilitating access to existing or in-progress installations for other Members, from time to time. This mutually beneficial courtesy will help improve Network knowledge and encourage application and rapid improvement of best practices on the job.
Finally, Members are encouraged to communicate with each other directly when one-on-one peer support is most useful.
Resources for installation issue resolution
The installation issues problem resolution path and resources are as follows:
- Place a call to the Technical Support hotline to identify a solution
- Escalate unresolved issues to Product Design Engineers
- When issues cannot be resolved after diligent effort by phone, arrangements can be made for engineers and/or technicians to visit the jobsite in order to reach a satisfactory resolution.
Resources to assist with code jurisdiction approval
We have already amassed considerable experience in navigating the jurisdictional approval process. As required, resources are available to assist individual Members with needed technical assistance in order to obtain approval for installation of a GT MRL system within the Member’s jurisdiction.
Education & Training
An Annual Forum of 2-3 days will be held for
Members in the Spring, offering educational programs and seminars to improve Member performance and confidence.
Network Vendor Partners will participate, both in formal programs as well as informal discussions, enabling Members to get answers and provide input for product and process review and improvement. Discussion of common interests and general networking within the group will be encouraged at the Forum.
Regional 1-2 day Workshops will be offered to supplement the annual Forum as Membership size dictates. These programs will emphasize more individual and small group technical training clinics, and labor saving tips and tricks.
Finally, a Master Installer program will be developed to cultivate senior resources for field installation and problem resolution with the ranks of the Membership.

Communication
Periodically, an Network newsletter will be produced and distributed to
Members. Content will include featured project(s), tips and tricks, new product news, technical bulletins and troubleshooting insights from the design engineers. Additional content will be developed in response to Member input. Distribution may be by mail or e-mail depending on Member preference.
