HISTORY

Since 1984, Global-Tardif has earned a top reputation as a manufacturer of field-proven, innovative products for the elevator industry. The company has grown to become one of the largest independent manufacturers of elevators in North America.

GT Accessibility packages are engineered to satisfy the exacting standards of the largest elevator company in the world. Manufacturing elevator system packages for multinational OEM customers is where GT built a reputation for top quality equipment and technical expertise.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Over the years Global-Tardif expertise and craftsmanship have been called upon to complete many notable projects, including:

High Speed Elevators

GT has engineered and manufactured over 300 high speed (1000 fpm to 1400 fpm) elevators which are in service worldwide.

Explosion Proof Elevators

GT has fabricated over 18 specialized explosion proof elevator systems, for both hydraulic and traction applications.

Airport and Transit System Custom Panoramic Elevators

GT has built and supplied over 250 elevator systems with panoramic custom cabs for the most challenging duty: transit service. Applications located throughout the US and Canada include projects in New York, New Jersey, St. Louis, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal.

Structural Fabrication

GT engineers and fabricates all structural car slings and platform equipment for every elevator produced – occasionally to 1200 fpm.

Completely Round Elevators

A list of GT accomplishments would not be complete without making reference to a most unique and challenging application completed successfully: a completely round glass three-stop elevator. This project included a full glass cab enclosure with mating curved glass doors.

CAPABILITIES

Global-Tardif employs over 250 people who work in three different manufacturing facilities comprised of over 267,000 square feet. Technical expertise includes 14 engineers, 21 CAD draftsmen, and many other professionals with university degrees in their respective specialties.

Relationships with key vendors, developed over many years, provide Global-Tardif the capability of handling most any demand and corporate rate of growth. Our network of vendor partners includes specialties from sheet metal manufacturing using the latest laser and CNC cutting and forming technology to custom and exotic wood and glass fabricators and suppliers.
The range of products designed, engineered and manufactured by Global-Tardif includes complete hydraulic, traction and MRL elevator packages; a complete line of doors and entrances ; standard, panoramic and other custom cabs; car slings and platforms; hydraulic pump and jack units; dumbwaiters; and a full range of residential and accessibility equipment.
